This webinar covered the essential aspects of a nonpartisan voter education campaign that encompasses the who, where, when, what, why, and how of voting, including the stakes of voting for housing justice.   The saved chat can be found here and the transcript can be found here. The webinar recording and slideshow can be found below. 

Camilla Ahmed, voter engagement coordinator at the Coalition on Human Needs (CHN), described the importance of voter engagement to raise awareness of issues that matter to low-income people. She shared CHN's voter guides (linked below) as a voter education tool. Daniella Pierre, president of the NAACP Miami-Dade Branch and an alumna of NLIHC's Collective, emphasized that affordable housing is central to a thriving democracy. She offered guidance for voters to get educated and prepare to cast their ballots, engage with candidates to learn about their stances, and determine their voting options. Daniella also shared information about Lyft's partnership with the NAACP to offer rides to the polls. Zoe Williamson Cretini, associate digital communications director at Students Learn Students Vote, gave an overview of National Voter Education Week and offered resources for planning successful in-person and digital activations.
